Listening to Instruction.

Proverbs 8:33-34

Listen to my instruction and be wise; do not ignore it.
Blessed is the man who listens to me watching daily
at my doors waiting at my doorway.

If you lack Wisdom.

James 1:5
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God,
who gives generously to all without finding fault,

and it will be given to him.

Store up knowledge.

Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise

wisdom and discipline.

Psalm 123:1-2
I lift my EYES to you, O God, enthroned in heaven.
We keep looking to the Lord our God for his mercy.

Hebrews 12:1-2
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a large crowd of witnessess to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that
slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up.  And let
us run with endurance the race God has set before us.  We do this
by keeping our EYES on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith

The Lord is my light.

Psalm 27:1
The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the strength
of my life; of whom shall I be afraid.

We need not fear when God is with us.

The untamable tongue.

God's Protection.

Deuteronomy 20:4
For the Lord your God is going with you!  He will fight for you against your enemies, and he will give you victory!


My Lord, today I come before you and pray for protection.  Your
Word says that 'No weapon formed against me shall prosper.'  Lord,
when the enemy tries to attack me, cover me with your shield, and may your hedge of protection surround me.
